  1. Hi Josh, remember me???? I am a cousin, the part of the family that changed from Light to Lyte, due to some idea my grandfather had. When you were still in H.S. I had dinner at your house as I was staying in Ashland for about a week. Remember yet? I am the one who is the genealogy person and email a lot with your Uncle Del. I keep asking him about what you are doing. Tonight my daughter Nancy sent me 2 URL’s for you. After reading the list of subjects, I doubt that there is anything at PSU for E.E. that existed when I was there. (1945-1949). Of course I took C&F. What’s that? Commerce and Finance. A few year after I graduated that curriculum was transformed in the College of Business Administration. Maybe with David McKinley as the head??? I had him for “money and banking”.
Any way when Del first sent me the message about what you were doing, I was really interested. One big hang up. I do not have TV, by choice. I have not had TV for 13 years. I do have 2 sets, but one is video and DVD, the other DVD only. I am very busy on the computer with family genealogy. I have now amassed over 90,000 people. NO, they are not all for the LIGHT family. That’s my Dad’s family. I have lots for my Mother and also for my husband. Most of the time I am working with the Wolfgang cousins group….descendants of the Michael Wolfang. Last I heard the website had over 40,000 people. I am pretty sure you are listed on there.
We are still trying to find out more on the early Light family.
Anyway, I enjoyed reading some of the “stuff” on your blogs. But of course I have no clue about a lot of it. I am glad you were so serious about an education that you kept at it.
Please feel free to email me if you have something of special interest to tell my about your job.
And if you are interested in the family genealogy let me know. Would be glad to send you the file begining with out Hessian soldier. YEP, we have a Hessian. Be proud of him. His Duke sold him to the British and he was forced to come to America to fight their war. He deserted several times and finally ended up in a POW camp in Reading, PA. He escaped from there, took the Oath to PA and stayed here marrying a girl from Reading, PA.

Your Dad is my 3rd cousin.

    Peggy Tyrrell
